Our Audit team provides audit and compliance services to a diverse group of clients operating in a multitude of industries. Our broad client base, which includes over 20 publicly listed companies, ensures our audit division is up to date with accounting standards, ASIC, ACNC and ASX reporting requirements and adheres to the strictest quality standards.

The Role

Duties will include:

Working closely with Partners and leading the management teams to ensure client work is completed to a high standard


• Executing audit engagements ensuring key deliverables are met and audit quality has been achieved


• Direct client communication for the planning and preparation of fieldwork and completion of financial statements


• Undertaking invoicing, billing and work-in-progress analysis for a portfolio of clients


• Designing and operating information and reporting systems, procedures and controls to meet external financial reporting requirements


• Assisting the partners with business development activities, including responses to tenders and attending meetings with prospective clients


• Supervising junior staff on larger engagements and mentoring junior staff in the audit team


• Travelling to and from clients in Queensland, and around Australia as and when required


• Participation and facilitation of firm internal and external training sessions


• Assisting the PKF Australia network with national training initiatives

Skills and experience:


• Have a minimum of 3-4 years audit experience


• Have completed an accounting degree (BCom or BBus)


• Be CA-qualified or be close to completion of the CA Program


• Display good communication skills and be able to establish long-lasting relationships with clients


• Have a sound knowledge of Australian/International Accounting and Auditing standards


• Be able to assist the audit process from planning through to completion


• Experience in the use of CaseWare audit software is preferred
