We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding across the learning area and ideally have experience with teaching Math Methods, Units 3 & 4 (not essential). This role requires a deep commitment to student-centred learning, curriculum innovation and assessment best practices.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position for one year, commencing in Term 1, 2026.

The role:

  • Teach Maths while fostering a positive and motivating classroom environment
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning so that every student is challenged, makes progress and thrives in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Commit to knowing students well, ensuring that learning is personalised so students can take their own next step in their learning progress
  • Continuously seek-out innovation, trying new teaching and learning strategies in the classroom and contribute to a culture of experimentation
  • Skilfully integrate learning technology into practice, selecting the most appropriate tools to enhance the learning experience

What do I need to succeed?

  • Teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching Maths to Middle and Senior School students
  • Experience with teaching Math Methods Units 3 & 4 (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for creativity and innovation in teaching
  • A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
