As Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator & Personal Care Assistant (Hybrid Role), you will be part of an dedicated, experienced and engaged team. We are looking for a special and unique kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, patience, positive energy, connection and caring for other people at the heart and center of everything they do. As Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator you will be committed to our eight Gold Standards and those that are specific to your role: One of the primary focuses of this role is one-on-one assistance, support with activities and direct care of residents. Exact times of one-on-one assistance and support to be determined. For example: 3 – 3.5 hrs per day. Provide safe and effective services and supports for the residents

What we need you to bring to the role:

  • Certificate III (Aged Care) & Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or diversional therapy is required
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Ability to be able to work on a permanent full time basis (potentially permanent part time
  • Experience in an aged care facility, developing Leisure and Lifestyle programs including working with dementia residents
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all matters
  • Flexibility to workplace demands and a teamwork attitude
  • Identify problems and a clear understanding of when to alert immediate supervisors and report to management
  • Knowledge of cross-cultural issues
  • Understanding of Aged Care including the Aged Care Quality Standards and Charter of Aged Care Rights.
  • Vaccinated (and up-to-date vaccinations) against Covid-19
  • National Police Certificate
