About the role
  • Conduct field safety and quality audits, providing actionable insights and improvements.
  • Lead, facilitate, or support incident investigations, and risk assessments as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide technical support and safety guidance for planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery partners to maintain awareness of relevant legislation, laws, regulations, standards, codes and AusNet policies and procedures and ensure compliance with network safety and quality standards.
  • Educate and assist stakeholders on network installation standards and operational procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in field practices and procedures to deliver commercial and customer value.

About you

  • Experience in construction and maintenance of electricity or gas utilities.
  • Proven ability to deliver infrastructure projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Knowledge of auditing, safety principles, and incident investigation methodologies .
  • Familiarity with regulated environments and network operations.
What You'll Bring
  • Hands-on technical or operational experience in network utilities
  • Lead Auditor in OHS/WHS or similar qualification is a plus
  • A valid Construction Industry White Card (Vic)
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools to support reporting and analysis
  • A current Driver's Licence
  • Willingness to travel across AusNet's network as needed
