Our client is a leading provider of deposit bonds - a smart alternative to cash deposits that empowers buyers to secure their dream property without needing immediate capital.

The Role

They are seeking a highly experienced and motivated
Senior Credit Analyst
to join the credit team. This is a key role where you'll assess and approve deposit bond applications, perform detailed credit analysis, and ensure underwriting decisions align with company policies and risk appetite.

You'll work closely with internal teams, broker partners, and customers to deliver a seamless, efficient, and professional experience while playing a critical part in supporting business growth.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Review, assess, and make decisions on deposit bond applications
  • Conduct detailed credit assessments, including analysis of financial statements, credit reports, contracts of sale, and supporting documentation
  • Make clear, considered recommendations on applications outside standard delegation limits
  • Work collaboratively with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve queries
  • Support the training and mentoring of Customer Experience Managers and junior assessors on credit policies
  • Assist in identifying potential fraud risks and applying sound risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and ensure SLAs are consistently met

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • 5+ years' Credit Analyst experience
    within the residential lending space
  • Successfully held a
    Delegated Lending Authority (DLA)
    of $2mil
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport
  • High attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes and credit risk principles
  • Experience assessing self-employed income, investment properties, and complex scenarios highly regarded
  • Tech savvy with ability to quickly adapt to new systems
