Tell me about this role:

We are currently looking for NV1 security cleared Security & DevSecOps Engineer to join our team on a permanent part time basis. You will have extensive experience in DevSecOps collaborating with the project team, DCIAB and other stakeholders to gain technical Authority To Operate.

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Ensure that mission and support ICT systems are designed, developed, operated and maintained in accordance with ISM, DSPF, ACSI suite of publications and Defence security policies.
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities arising from the design of ICT systems
  • Ensure that system Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and any other additional required security procedural artefacts are developed and maintained
  • Review and shape Defence security documentation for Program systems developed by System Integrators and vendors
  • Collaborate with different vendors, including Defence IT teams, operational units, and senior leadership, to ensure cyber security is integrated into decision-making

What sort of skills do I need?  

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in an information technology role with exposure to information security.
  • Extensive experience with the ISM and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF)
  • Experience working in leading cyber security initiatives within ASD, DDG or CASG
  • Experience working with DevSecOps and Agile project delivery methodologies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail
  • Australian citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance with ability to upgrade to NV2
