Days: Prefer Thursdays (flexible Mon to Thu but no Friday)

Children: B10m & B3

Pay: $40 -$50 per hour

Our professional family in Gladesville is seeking a caring and experienced nanny to care for their two boys. They are looking for someone who can become a reliable and trusted support for their family. The nanny will be responsible for caring for both children, engaging them in fun, active, and educational play at home and in the community. The boys enjoy outings to the park, library, and other local activities, most of which are within walking distance. A family car will be provided if driving is required.

The family encourages a screen-free environment, with no TV, iPads, or other devices, promoting active, imaginative, and hands-on play. The 3-year-old is going through a stage of big emotions and sometimes needs extra support, and the family is seeking a nanny who can provide thoughtful, nurturing care with patience and consistency.

The role also involves managing the children's routines, including naps, meals, and nappy changes, preparing healthy snacks and meals, and taking care of light child-related household tasks. The family places strong emphasis on learning and development, particularly for the eldest, who enjoys reading, exploring, and interactive play.

The ideal nanny will be energetic, patient, and experienced in caring for both toddlers and babies. Warmth, consistency, and the ability to set healthy boundaries are essential, as is reliability and a trustworthy nature. The family values a nanny who lives a healthy, active lifestyle. With a cleaner and gardener already in place, the nanny's focus will remain solely on the children and their needs.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting routines for both children
  • Preparing nutritious snacks and meals
  • Engaging children with age-appropriate activities and outings
  • Light household duties related to the children (tidying, laundry, toy rotation, etc.)
  • Collaborating respectfully with parents, especially during transitions

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant nanny or early childhood experience, with confidence working with infants and toddlers
  • Two professional, child-related references
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain ASAP)
  • A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain ASAP)
  • A current National Police Check
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Excellent communication skills and high fluency in English
  • Up-to-date immunisations (annual flu shot, COVID boosters, standard vaccinations for adults)
