Our warm and professional family based in Glebe is seeking a nurturing, patient, and experienced nanny to provide consistent, loving care for their cheerful one-year-old son. This role offers a supportive and respectful working relationship in a calm, family-oriented household that values open communication, reliability, and kindness.

The position will begin gradually in January 2026, allowing a gentle transition as the family moves out of parental leave with a gradual start of 2-4 days, and will move to a regular 4-day role from February 2026.

Their son is a curious and happy little boy who enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting local parks and playgrounds, exploring the foreshore, and playing at the pool. He thrives on connection and enjoys floor play, story time, and engaging in simple educational and sensory activities.

The 1-year-old is currently working on his gross motor milestones, supported by short, daily physiotherapy exercises - 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon, which the nanny will continue as part of his daily routine. During nap times, the nanny will help with child-related tasks such as preparing lunch, tidying up after play, and getting ready for the afternoon routine. The family also has a friendly cat, but no pet care is required.

The ideal nanny will bring warmth, patience, and attentiveness, and will genuinely enjoy helping a young child learn and grow through a calm and positive approach. Reliability and consistency are key, as the family hopes to find someone their son can build a trusting bond with over time. Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Providing nurturing, attentive care for one toddler
• Following daily routines including nap, play, and meal times
• Supporting physio exercises
• Preparing and feeding nutritious meals/snacks for
• Planning stimulating and age-appropriate play and learning activities
• Maintaining a tidy and organised play area and common spaces
• Open communication and reliability in daily handovers

• Minimum 2+ years of nanny or early childhood experience
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• At least 2 Australian-based childcare/nanny references
• Up-to-date vaccinations (including flu and COVID preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and nurturing approach
• Confidence supporting developmental activities
• Non-smoking/vaping
