About the role

A great opportunity has become available for an Intermediate or Senior Business Services Accountant to join the talented team at this CBD mid tier firm. In this full-time role, you will be providing valuable accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing high-quality financial statements, reports and business analysis for clients
  • Providing strategic tax planning advice and ensuring client compliance with all relevant tax obligations
  • Assisting with the implementation of accounting systems, processes and controls to improve clients' financial management
  • Conducting regular client meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored business advisory services
  • Collaborating with the wider team to deliver exceptional client service and support the growth of the firm

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in a business services role, ideally within a professional services firm
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including expertise in financial reporting, tax planning and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build trusted relationships with clients
  • Proven ability to provide strategic, commercially-focused advice to help clients achieve their business goals
  • Experience using contemporary accounting software and technologies
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • CA or CPA qualification highly desirable
