Elite Resource Australia is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for a long-term infrastructure project in Cairns, QLD. This role involves slope stabilisation and rock catch fencing, with consistent hours and strong rates. Local candidates preferred.

About the Role:

  • Operating excavators fitted with drill rig attachments to drill holes
  • Working on slope stabilisation and rock catch fencing
  • Navigating tight access areas and challenging terrain
  • Assisting other crews with manual labour when not operating
  • 10-hour shifts, 5–6 days per week
  • Long-term project with immediate start

Pay Rates:

  • $50/hr – Normal time
  • $65/hr – OT1
  • $75/hr – OT2
  • Opportunity for gross pay to be over $3,000 per week

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating excavators, especially in tight or difficult areas
  • Experience with drill rig attachments highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Willingness to assist with general labouring duties
  • Reliable, fit for duty, and available for long-term work
  • Must complete drug & alcohol screen and face fit test prior to starting – Elite Resource will organise
  • Local Cairns-based candidates preferred
