Find purpose and impact
As our new Return to Work Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating Dubbo Regional Council's injury management process to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and facilitate safe, timely return to work for injured employees. The role involves implementing health monitoring procedures, liaising with health professionals and insurers, and providing strategic advice on workers compensation and injury management. Building strong internal relationships and promoting wellbeing across the organisation are key aspects of this position.
You'll make an impact by:
- Coordinate injury management and workers compensation processes to ensure compliance and effective return-to-work outcomes.
- Develop and implement health monitoring procedures, including organising providers and maintaining accurate records.
- Act as the primary liaison with health professionals, insurers, and external injury management providers.
- Provide strategic and operational advice on injury management, including reporting trends and recommending improvements.
- Deliver training and presentations on workers compensation and injury management during corporate induction sessions.
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Certificate IV Human Resource Management, WHS or related discipline or experience deemed equivalent.
- Accreditation as a Return to Work Coordinator.
- Solid experience in proactive Return to Work Coordination including injury management, claims reviews, premium and claims monitoring and interpreting legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels within the business.
- Solid skills with computer systems and reporting on data.
- Solid demonstrated experience/capacity in providing reliable and professional advice to management.
We would also love you to have:
- Knowledge and experience managing complex workers compensation claims.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $88,171 to $102,468.
