About the role

Band 5 - base salary from $121,231 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience

At TasNetworks, we're focussed on delivering high-quality spatial and network modelling and are looking for a skilled Network Team Leader to lead our technical experts and support the delivery of spatial products and operational technology solutions across the business.

As Network Team Leader, you'll lead a high-performing team of spatial specialists supporting TasNetworks' digital operations.

You'll:

  • Guide the delivery of spatial systems work execution and network modelling services, mentoring your team and supporting product roadmaps.
  • Ensure network model integrity across GIS and downstream systems, aligned with governance and technical frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver fit-for-purpose spatial solutions.
  • Oversee operations and project delivery, manage escalations, and maintain efficient, quality-driven processes.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and support resource planning for program delivery.

About you

You're a natural leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for spatial technologies and network modelling. You bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in distribution or transmission operational technology within the energy sector.
  • Knowledge of ESRI and OSI Monarch platforms an advantage, modern technology stacks, and best practice design patterns.
  • A strong track record of delivering high-quality outcomes while balancing competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A continuous learning approach and willingness to share your expertise to uplift others.
