Buckland is the provider of choice for Aged Care services in the Lower Blue Mountains.

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Care Manager to join our dedicated team on a full-time 6-month contract, commencing November 2025. This will be a Monday - Friday role.

In this role, you will provide clinical leadership, support and coordination across our Residential Aged Care Facility, working alongside a highly skilled clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the planning and delivery of clinical care across the facility
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to RNs, care staff, clinical leads, diversional therapists and allied health professionals
  • Ensure compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative requirements
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, GPs, community services, hospitals and other stakeholders
  • Support staff development, participate in the staff appraisal process, performance management and conduct care staff interviews
  • Oversee documentation and care planning to ensure accuracy and best practices
  • Investigate and manage incidents and mandatory reporting (SIRS)
  • Support staff development, appraisals, performance management and conduct care staff interviews
  • Assist in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures
  • Assist in workforce planning ensuring mandatory care minute requirements are met

What You'll Bring:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership within residential aged care
  • In-depth understanding of aged care legislation and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Strong communication, documentation and clinical reasoning skills
  • Compassion, patience and empathy
  • Proven ability to lead and support care teams effectively
  • Valid NDIS Workers Clearance and Australian Working Rights
