Reporting to the Catering Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Set shifts: Thursday to Saturday, 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM - enjoy a predictable schedule while working in a dynamic hospital kitchen.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Ensuring compliance with Spotless Food Safety Program and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff and hospital teams to meet patient needs.
• Assisting in menu planning and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring (experience required)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification.
- Proven experience working in a large-scale or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and allergen management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

About You:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Current Food Handlers Certificate is preferred but not essential
• Previous experience within a commercial kitchen
• Previous experience with a healthcare environment preferred but not essential
• Live in or around the Benigo area
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and a strong work ethic
