Motorcycle Mechanic

About the role

Bike and Rider' is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic to join our team in Mount Isa, Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of motorcycle models. As a key member of our workshop, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' motorcycles are safe and in top condition.

What you'll be doing

1. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on motorcycles
2. Essential experience with diagnostic equipment is required for accurate fault identification and resolution
3. Carrying out scheduled maintenance services to the highest standard
4. Test riding motorcycles to ensure successful repairs and maintenance
5. Providing excellent customer service and advice
6. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
7. Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualifications in motorcycle mechanics or a related Automotive Trades field
2. Any recognised mechanical trade qualification is required for this position
3. Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Motorcycle Mechanic
4. Minimum 3+ years of motorcycle/powersports experience is essential
5. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent attention to detail and technical expertise
7. Good communication and customer service skills
8. A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
9. A current driver's licence and your own tools
10. Valid Australian work visa or appropriate work authorisation is required
