This role is about transformation, not maintenance. As General Manager, you will take full ownership of a complex mining business, embedding commercial precision, introducing smarter systems, and setting a new standard for disciplined performance.

Command the Role

  • Own the financial engine of the business, setting the metrics, driving efficiency, stabilising costs, and ensuring every forecast is accurate and accountable.
  • Shape strategy and systems, embedding commercial discipline, transparent reporting, and frameworks that make decisions sharper, faster, and evidence based.
  • Lead with authority, guiding a technically strong workforce and instilling a culture where expectations are clear, performance is measured, and results are non-negotiable.
  • Influence with credibility, building confidence at executive level while commanding respect across contractors, unions, government, and community stakeholders.
  • Deliver stability and discipline, steering the site through transition into long-term performance, creating value that endures well beyond your tenure.

The Edge You Bring

  • Proven senior leadership in mining or heavy industry with full P&L accountability.
  • The ability to cut through complexity, enforce cost discipline, and sustain margins.
  • Experience leading technically capable teams and influencing large workforces.
  • Authority in government, community, and industrial relations engagement.
  • Advanced commercial and financial acumen with strong modelling and forecasting expertise.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, or engineering; MBA highly regarded.

  • Stabilise costs and deliver forecasting accuracy across the operation.
  • Embed rigorous reporting systems and cost-control processes.
  • Define KPIs that drive performance across every critical metric.
