Programmatic Performance Specialist

Key responsibilities:
- Translate programmatic data insights into actionable sales narratives, enabling commercial teams to target agencies, independents, and direct clients with data-backed programmatic propositions.
- Own the full lifecycle of programmatic deal setup — including private marketplaces, preferred deals, curated marketplace integrations, and programmatic guaranteed — ensuring correct configuration and optimal performance.
- Lead partner relationships across the programmatic ecosystem, owning key relationships to surface and negotiate PMP opportunities and curated deal strategies to sustain yield and fill rate.
- Partner with key stakeholders to analyse bid data, fill rates, and deal performance, identifying revenue growth opportunities and building strong commercial cases for direct sales activation.
- Act as the first line of support for programmatic issues across the site — including tag implementation, targeting errors, latency issues, and ad-serving discrepancies — working with UK and US ad ops and engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Leverage Google Analytics, GAM, and third-party measurement tools to analyse campaign delivery, performance trends, and user behaviour. Conduct A/B testing and QA for new programmatic integrations or site changes.
Skills and experience:
- 3+ years in digital media with at least 3+ in a programmatic or ad operations role
- Proven experience setting up, troubleshooting, and optimising programmatic campaigns in Google Ad Manager and across SSP/DSP platforms
- Strong knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem architecture — including exchanges, supply paths, bidding logic, measurement solutions, and where premium news publishers sit within the value chain
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics and site-side troubleshooting
- Advanced data analysis skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into revenue strategies
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions for optimal user experience across the site.
