Our Role

We are currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Maintenance Fitter/ Plant Mechanic/ Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to be based at our Riverton Limestone Quarry, located 50 minutes west of Tenterfield, NSW.  The role is (day shift) Monday to Friday with some weekend work, and requirement to attend to unscheduled maintenance with overtime pay.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work with a high degree of autonomy and carry out varied work including troubleshooting, breakdown, repair, and carry out tasks under our preventative maintenance program.

You will be required to:

• complete condition monitoring and inspections of fixed plant and mobile equipment.
• undertake improvement projects on plant and machinery.
• be involved in the entire production process (from raw feed through to finished product).

As a successful candidate, you will have:

• A trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or relevant trade) with the willingness to upgrade or upskill.
• Experience with repairing crushing, screening and milling equipment would be ideal but not essential.
• Sound welding and fabrication skills would be highly regarded.
• A current manual driver's license is required.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and who can work self-sufficiently to generate positive outcomes.
• Ability to balance and deliver on team and personal objectives in a safe and efficient manner following safe work practices.
• Computer literacy and attention to detail in your work.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Have a sound knowledge of the concepts of preventative maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Positive attitudes towards safety with an ability to demonstrate leadership in this area.
