We have partnered with a Vic State Government Agency on a digital transformation initiative and are looking to place a Solution Architect to join our team on a 6 month contract basis with a possibility to extend.

The role will be based in Melbourne.

What will you be doing?

The program requires solution architecture services to provide input into solution options, data architecture on the legacy platform and provide data architecture skills.

The engagement will include working on Ageing Infrastructure projects to understand current state data analysis of the legacy system and to make recommendations and options are documented data architectural options.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in developing architecture strategies and designs for complex, large-scale transformation projects whilst balancing competing project and program, project and organisational goals, as well as tactical and strategic drivers.
  • Experience in working within complex ICT environments (preferably within the government health sector and in digital transformation programs) and reporting to Steering Committees at senior management and exec levels.
  • Should have knowledge of a wide range of reporting and Business Intelligence concepts and practices, including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, ODS, Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Science.
  • Should have knowledge of a wide range of reporting technologies, in particular, Microsoft database tools, including Azure SQL, ADF, DataBricks, ADL, SSIS and SSAS.
  • Should have knowledge of one or more Business Intelligence or Dashboarding tools, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, SSRS and SAS Analytics.
  • Should have integration experience, including:

a. Integration patterns, service development (SOAP Web Services and RESTful APIs), API management (API security and usage policy definition) and SOA framework, as well as messaging formats (JSON and XML).

b. Service design and working with analysts and stakeholders to define re-usable API services.
- Experience with working in Microsoft Azure environments.

  • Should have Network, Security and Identity Management experience.
