The opportunity: Intern, Mining Technology & Market Research (Casual)

We are seeking an undergraduate student to join our team in a casual role from December 2025 to February 2026.

This internship will focus on market research and data-driven analysis to help identify and prioritise opportunities for the growth of our Digital solutions across Australian mine sites. This role will be based in the Haultrax Brisbane Office.

You'll work directly with our Commercial Director and Sales team, supporting our goals of growth within HX Digital.

As part of this project, you will:

• Conduct research into Australian mine sites and operations using public data, online resources, and direct outreach where appropriate

• Assess and record key information

• Build and maintain a structured database

• Collaborate with Haultrax's Digital and Business Operations teams to refine data collection methods and reporting

• Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders at the conclusion of your internship

What you will need for this role


• A passion for technology, data and the mining industry, with an interest in how digital tools drive operational improvement

• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and organise information clearly

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Curiosity, initiative and the confidence to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment

• Current enrolment in a university degree such as Business, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
