ModnPods is looking for highly talented Boilermakers to join our expanding dynamic team. We are seeking team members who work collaboratively, can think critically, and are committed to outstanding fabrication work that forms the critical structure of our modular buildings. Reporting to the Production Manager & our Boilermaker Team Leader, your responsibilities will include interpreting designs and plans, cutting and welding steel frames, subfloors and ceilings, monitoring welding machinery and equipment, including assessing welded components.

To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of welding and welding equipment.  You will support us in ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings.  The successful candidates will also have great work ethic and outstanding attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld small and large components within our workshop.
• Use specialised machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Maintain all welding equipment.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Oversee apprentices on occasion.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade from an accredited institution is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Boilermaker or welder.
• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and designs.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
