About the role
Gillcraft Welding is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator / Welder to join our team in Arundel, Queensland. This is a casual role where you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a variety of metal components and structures.
What you'll be doing
- Operate welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications
- Demonstrate proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes
- Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Contribute to a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding
- Demonstrated experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder, preferably in a workshop or manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
