Tasracing Pty Ltd is seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors (Commercial) to fulfil upcoming vacancies on its Board. Tasracing is the principal racing authority in Tasmania, established as a State Owned Company in 2009, to oversee the operations and future development of the Tasmanian racing industry.
Tasracing offers a dynamic environment for experienced directors to provide strong strategic direction, oversight and governance of the organisation and contribute to the future success and long term sustainability of the industry.
The Tasracing Board is comprised of seven directors, made up of a Chairperson, three directors with experience and expertise in the three codes of racing, and three directors with the experience and expertise necessary to enable the Company to achieve its objectives.
The ideal candidates will bring breadth to the Board's expertise together with demonstrated ability in one of the following areas: business/commercial; integrity experience in the racing and/or sports industries, and/or animal welfare management; wagering marketing; or people and culture. Strategic, forward looking leadership together with excellent relationship building and customer engagement skills are also required.
