About the Role

Join the Simba Car Hire team as a Part-time/Full-time Customer Service & Sales Officer, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while actively contributing to our sales and operational success. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll assist with rentals, resolve queries, and offer tailored upgrades and value-added products. This is a dynamic opportunity for those who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and have a keen interest in sales, service, and operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcome customers with professionalism and warmth, ensuring every interaction is positive and service-driven
  • Process rental agreements, guide customers through vehicle selection, and handle all rental transactions
  • Actively promote upgrades, insurance options, and add-ons to meet customer needs and drive revenue
  • Resolve issues or complaints promptly, aiming to turn challenges into opportunities for customer satisfaction
  • Maintain expert knowledge of our fleet, rental procedures, and sales strategies
  • Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries quickly and courteously
  • Support the branch with day-to-day operations including vehicle preparation coordination, administrative tasks, and inventory updates
  • Contribute to branch targets and KPIs through excellent service and upselling techniques

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, or retail (car rental experience highly regarded)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for both helping people and driving sales
  • Results-oriented mindset with confidence in recommending products and solutions
  • Solid problem-solving ability and a calm, professional approach under pressure
  • Proficient with computer systems and able to multitask efficiently
  • A friendly, enthusiastic team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Requirements

  • Driver's Licence (required)
  • Legal work authorisation in Australia (required)
