About the role
As the Director, Product and Services in the Publications section, you will be responsible for leadership and management of the operational aspects of Publications including the Federal Register of Legislation product, managing key strategic relationships particularly for stakeholder education. This role will support OPC's objective to make legislation accessible to all Australians.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management to establish priorities, monitor and report on progress and work to deliver effective and efficient operational services
- Oversee operational work, projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment of strategic goals
- Develop long-term plans and strategies that align with the needs of stakeholders to access and understand the law
- Identify opportunities for business improvements and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and manage risk in all areas of decision-making
- Provide coaching, mentorship and development opportunities to ensure the ongoing success of Publications
- Undertaking other duties or functions as directed by First Parliamentary Counsel or the General Manager Publishing.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the role, you must:
- Be an Australian Citizen
- Be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance to Baseline status.
