About The Role
We are in search of a proactive and driven Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to oversee and manage the entire talent acquisition process, focusing on early careers roles. The successful candidate will make their mark on our early careers strategy by combining strategic planning, candidate sourcing, stakeholder management/engagement and devise strategies to enhance Northrop's reputation as a Top 100 Graduate Employer as rated by Prosple.
You will oversee and manage various aspects of Northrop's early careers initiatives which are designed to attract individuals who are in the early stages of their careers such as recent graduates, current undergraduates and trainees. You'll use your creativity as you develop a market engagement plan to maximise opportunities with sponsorships, industry engagements, career fairs, workshops and networking events. This role will also support the wider talent team on an as-needed basis, providing development opportunities and effective management of workload.
This full-time permanent opportunity will be based in our Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane or Melbourne offices however will support a national client portfolio and will be required to travel to interstate offices from time to time.
Day To Day Responsibilities Include
- Partner with managers to develop and implement effective early career attraction strategies tailored to each office and discipline that will support Northrop's strategic growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with high schools, universities, local TAFE's, engineering societies and professional bodies such as Engineers Australia.
- Attend early career events at various universities and TAFE's that will support all Northrop offices across NSW, VIC, QLD and ACT, acting as a brand ambassador and proactively promoting Northrop as an attractive employer of choice.
- Support Hiring Managers with advertising, screening of potential candidates, interview logistics, providing interview feedback, organising letters of offers, and reference checking.
- Maintain a high level of urgency and accuracy throughout all stages of the recruitment process.
- Research, consult and implement new early career initiatives.
- Develop initiatives that increase Northrop's reputation and employer brand as an employer of choice for early career applicants.
- Critically evaluate our engagement with university and TAFE engagement: Sponsorships, industry engagement, career fairs, workshops and ad hoc networking events.
- Collaborate with others in the P&C team, Marketing team and internal stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent, desired not essential.
- Strong understanding of early careers recruitment processes.
- Experience working with ATS Software.
- Proven good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritise workloads with sound project management skills including using initiative, problem solving and meeting objectives.
- Excellent understanding of the latest early careers recruitment initiatives: University and Tafe job boards, engagement with engineering societies, online graduate platforms, and social media campaigns (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn etc).
- Experience in collecting, analysing and reporting of data to assess the effectiveness of early career attraction strategies and make data-driven improvements.
- Natural influencer with the ability to coach and inspire people and lead P&C best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to groups.
