Senior Civil Designer

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia JHA Consulting Engineers (QLD) Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

At JHA we pride ourselves on not only providing a core offering of the regular building services disciplines, but also a full spectrum of dedicated specialists in more niche disciplines.

We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Designer who can start immediately. You will have Local Australian experience working with Building Services engineering consultants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake engineering design and documentation of civil protection projects.
  • Provide support in designing civil services.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members across multiple disciplines.
  • Undertake internal and external training.
  • Attend client meetings/site inspections.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in Civil design and drafting (preferably experienced in 12d and AutoCAD)

  • Experience in the following areas;

  • Bulk Earthworks & site grading

  • Erosion and Sediment Control
  • Road Geometry (horizontal and vertical)
  • Stormwater Drainage (pit & pipe design)
  • Sewer & Water (pit and pipe design)
  • Vehicle swept paths
  • Experience working on Australian-based project (QLD preferred)
  • Leadership attributes with a desire to lead and grow a local team
  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
