Our client was established more than 30 years ago and has grown organically through referrals and recommendations and by simply taking care of their clients.  They have a reputation for delivering sound advice and outstanding service.

Building their proven track record as business accountants in Perth they became early adopters of digital advances in tax, compliance, and cloud-based bookkeeping. They saw opportunities to pass these efficiencies onto their clients and offer exciting new accounting and business advisory services to help them achieve their financial goals.

Their offices are located in the heart of stunning West Perth, with a short stroll to Kings Park and some great cafés and restaurants close by.  The team in West Perth are friendly, fun, and supportive and their staff turnover is low, with several members of staff being there since the beginning.  They believe that pulling together as a team is key to success and they have regular team building exercises that allow them to have fun and work together as a team.  They are also a very family friendly and flexible firm, offering part-time and flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Your main duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies and trusts, partnerships & individuals
  • Prepare, oversee and advise on BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax and statutory reporting requirements
  • Assisting with tax planning, entity setups etc
  • Assist to manage client relationships
  • Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders
  • Mentor and review work for junior members of staff
  • Ensure workflow efficiency, accuracy and deadlines are met

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • 2-8 years' experience in tax and business services
  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance
  • Working towards CA qualifications (but they may consider a CPA)
  • Knowledge of Xero and MYOB products would be advantageous
