About Jarden
We are a leading independent investment and advisory group. Founded in New Zealand in 1961 and established as a market leader for decades, we expanded our successful operation into Australia in 2020.
Our dedicated team of over 330 professionals includes some of the industry's most experienced and respected leaders. Together, we are committed to being our clients' most trusted partner.
Our team is made up of talented individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise. They are the driving force behind our daily operations and the key to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
What sets us apart is our agile, entrepreneurial approach combined with deep market expertise. We're majority employee-owned, which means our team is genuinely invested in delivering exceptional outcomes. We operate with minimal bureaucracy, enabling quick decision-making and empowering talent at all levels to contribute meaningfully.
The Role:
Jarden is seeking a high-performing Vice President to join our Real Estate team within Corporate Finance. Since establishing our Australian presence five years ago, we've built a leading, differentiated Real Estate business across listed and private markets, advising on some of the most significant and complex transactions in Australia and New Zealand, and raising significant amounts of listed and private capital for our clients.
This important role offers a unique opportunity to lead high-profile transactions in the real estate sector while building strong client relationships across the market. You will work alongside senior bankers as a trusted adviser on highly strategic and consequential transactions, driving execution, mentoring junior colleagues, and helping to shape the strategic direction of our growing Real Estate business.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead execution of M&A transactions, public and private capital raisings, and strategic advisory mandates within the Real Estate sector, including day-to-day engagement with clients on deals and actively participating in client meetings and strategic discussions
- Oversee preparation of comprehensive financial analyses, valuation models, presentations and transaction documentation
- Manage due diligence processes and co-ordinate with legal, accounting, and other professional advisers
- Take ownership of pitch materials and client presentations, ensuring high quality content and advice
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders in the market, acting as a trusted adviser on strategic matters, and a role model for the Real Estate team and Jarden as a whole
- Conduct in-depth independent research into real estate and capital markets, REITs, real estate fund managers and developers, and related industries and companies to help inform strategic ideas and recommendations
- Mentor and develop Associate and Analyst team members, providing guidance on technical skills and professional development
- Collaborate with senior bankers to identify new business opportunities and contribute to business development efforts
About you:
A leadership presence, professional communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships are essential. You will have a proven track record of taking professional pride in what you do in order to achieve positive outcomes; the desire and commitment to learn and grow; a passion for thoughtful, high quality, trusted advice and content; and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
In addition, ideally you will have:
- 6+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance, with a track record in real estate transactions or related industries (including M&A, capital raisings, strategic advisory, and / or investing)
- Deep technical and market knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the real estate sector and in corporate finance, ideally including both direct property and corporate entities
- Proven ability to lead and execute transactions end-to-end and manage multiple important transactions simultaneously
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced understanding of valuation techniques specific to real estate and corporate finance
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex matters clearly to clients and key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop less experienced team members and be a team player
Why Join Us:
- Work on market-defining deals in a differentiated, high-performing environment
: The AFR recognised Jarden as the #1 Deal Makers in Australia for 2025, and our leading, differentiated Real Estate business is widely recognised in the market. Be an integral part of transformational transactions from listed M&A to private capital partnerships to ASX / NZX capital raisings for blue-chip clients across diverse real estate asset classes, including coverage of both well-established and newly emerging companies and sub-sectors. - Client access and impact:
We are targeted but active across the market, and take a genuine long-term view. Advise blue-chip clients including listed REITs, private equity, superannuation and pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and public and private real estate groups across listed and unlisted markets, and be their trusted, strategic partner and grow together. - Clear career progression in a growing team:
We achieved record revenues in FY2025 and continue to expand. Our structure provides clear career progression opportunities, high levels of autonomy, and the chance to build a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience. Unlike larger institutions, your contributions will be visible and valued because our size ensures everyone meaningfully impacts our success. - Unique market capabilities:
Benefit from our trans-Tasman presence, strategic Nomura partnership, and relationships that provide unique market capabilities. Our independence and employee ownership model means we're aligned with your long-term success. - Culture that differentiates us:
At Jarden, client focus is what sets us apart. We have a dynamic culture where collaboration, high performance and excellence drive everything we do. We combine the creativity and agility of a young firm with the resources of an established player. Our non-hierarchical culture empowers independent thinking at all levels and values diverse perspectives that challenge the status quo.
If you're a motivated professional looking to join a leading team at an exciting time of growth and opportunity in the sector, we'd love to hear from you.
Jarden is committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion. We champion equal opportunities and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
