The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Recreational Activity Officer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Care Manager, the role is responsible for motivating residents towards emotional and physical rehabilitation through activities that promote psychological, social and physical wellbeing. This role is central to ensuring safe and effective lifestyle services are being provided to residents whilst upholding St Charbel Care Centre's Vision, Mission, Values and Philosophy in line with the Australian Aged Care and Quality Standards.

Key responsibilities:


• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the physio and lifestyle team, ensuring services are delivered with care, safety, and respect.


• Plan and implement individual and group activities tailored to residents' preferences and needs.


• Provide compassionate care to aged residents as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.


• Assist residents in maintaining their emotional and physical well-being while preserving their privacy and dignity.


• Uphold strict confidentiality of resident information, demonstrating the highest level of professional discretion.


• Accurately complete necessary documentation


• Comply with the requirements of the current Work Health and Safety regulations and processes including the health and safety of yourself and others

What we're looking for:


• Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role


• National Criminal Record Check


• Current First Aid Certificate


• Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment and experience working in an Aged Care

Desirable:


• Proficiency in spoken Arabic is highly regarded to support effective communication with residents, families, and visitors.


• Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure and/or equivalent
