Childcare Lead Educator | St Albans

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to join our St Albans team in supporting the planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, for all children.

Conveniently located near our existing services in central Melbourne, this new centre marks a significant step forward in our commitment to delivering high-quality education and care.

About the role:

This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.

As our new Lead Educator, you will be responsible for the development and fostering of meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community. You will support and guide children's learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector. As an Educator with Journey Early Learning, you will be supported by your Centre Leadership Team, as you learn the fundamental skills of being an inspired Educator within the Journey family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times

  • Design and implement learning experiences to be included in children's developmental program.

  • Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests, and preferences

  • Guide and support your team, ensuring a collaborative teaching, and interactive learning environment

About you:

You are creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with educators, children, and families.

Key skills and requirements:

  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III or higher
  • Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
  • An approved Working with Children Check
  • Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
