We are on the lookout for a passionate Casual Chef to join our vibrant team at the Peninsula Hot Springs. If you love being responsible for efficiently and effectively preparing and presenting menu items with variety and flair, thrive in a busy kitchen, take pride in every dish you serve for our guests, we'd love to hear from you.
What you will do:
- Prepare and cook quality dishes in line with our menu and standards
- Work collaborately with the kichen team to deliver a smooth service
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring food safety standards are met
- Bring quality and passion to every plate
- Liaising with front of house team members regarding the availability of items, additions and relevant changes to the menu;
- Providing assistance with ordering of food items
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Ensuring all equipment is appropriately maintained and cleaned
- Accurately and timely completion of all tasks, as per service requirements.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Ensuring stock control procedures are being followed.
- Assist in the ordering of food items when required.
- Ensure the smooth running of all operations in line with the Peninsula Hot Springs values, purpose and vision.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast paced kitchen
- A strong work ethic and team spirit
- Flexibility to work accross weekdays, evening shifts, weekends and special events
- A positive attitude and commitment to great food
- Have a minimum of 2-4 years' industry experience
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery (Chef)
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
