About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced English tutor to join our team at Kwokario. You will work with students in primary and early secondary levels, helping them build strong foundations in English and prepare for academic milestones, including the Selective School Test.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging 1-on-1 or small group English lessons online
  • Focus on developing students' skills in: Reading comprehension, writing, grammar and vocabulary in context, test strategies for Selective School and similar assessments.
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress
  • Assess writing tasks and guide students in refining their ideas
  • Communicate with parents and the education team as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in English
  • Currently teaching or have taught in the Australian education system
  • Experience preparing students for the Selective School Test or equivalent exams
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Patient, supportive, and able to adapt lessons to different learning needs

Job Type: Subcontract

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
