This growing consumer retail group operates multiple brands across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and other key international markets. The business is well established yet still evolving its finance capability to support continued global expansion. With a modern office based in Brisbane's inner north, the team offers a supportive culture, flexible working and a collaborative environment. They are now seeking an experienced finance professional to join on an initial six month contract with the likelihood of extension or conversion.

The role
As the Group Financial Governance Manager, you will support and oversee governance and reporting activities across several brands and jurisdictions. Working closely with the Global Financial Controller, you will manage statutory lodgements, regulatory reporting, group wide policy alignment and drive automation and process improvement throughout the finance function.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Prepare and lodge statutory returns including BAS, GST or VAT, PAYG, royalties and FBT
  • Coordinate tax and financial documentation across Australia, New Zealand and the United States in line with IFRS, AASB and GAAP
  • Manage governance and reporting obligations including payroll tax, WorkCover, Payment Times Reporting and employee share scheme requirements
  • Maintain a global governance and compliance calendar capturing all statutory deadlines
  • Oversee monitoring tools to ensure reconciliations, approvals and audit trails are complete
  • Support inter brand transactions and transfer pricing documentation
  • Act as the key contact for external auditors and coordinate internal workflows
  • Standardise group wide finance and tax policies and identify opportunities for improvement

About you

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum five years experience in finance, tax or reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS, AASB and GAAP
  • Confident working across multiple jurisdictions and complex regulatory environments
  • Comfortable partnering with internal and external stakeholders
