Role Description

We're seeking a creative Video Editor to help us produce high-quality content for our YouTube channel and social platforms. This contractor role is ongoing with a consistent weekly rhythm, editing long-form software tutorials and shortform clips, with the opportunity to grow as our content flywheel scales.

What you'll be working on

  • Editing long-form YouTube tutorials (educational, design/tutorial style).
  • Cutting down and formatting shortform clips (YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Adding captions, transitions, and overlays that enhance clarity and engagement.
  • Collaborating with the producer and designer to integrate thumbnails, B-roll, and supporting visuals.
  • Uploading edits to for review and implementing feedback quickly.
  • Delivering final exports optimised for YouTube and short-form platforms.

  • Autonomy and trust in how you approach editing, while staying consistent with our brand style.

What you need

  • Strong experience editing educational/tutorial content for YouTube.
  • Understanding of YouTube pacing, hooks, and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in editing software (We use ).
  • Experience repurposing longform content into engaging shorts.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to stick to a weekly content cycle.
  • A creative, problem-solving mindset and eye for detail.
