Local medium sized IGA Store located in Joondalup is seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Deli Manager.

This position will be offered as full time with weekend work.

Existing IGA Supermarket located in Joondalup.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Recent hands-on experience as a Deli Manager (supermarket background preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage day-to-day deli operations
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and workplace safety standards
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality customer service
  • Experience in ordering, cost control, wage management, and staff rostering
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Organised and reliable, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high presentation and hygiene standards
  • Passionate about food, with a creative and proactive mindset

Key Duties

  • Oversee the deli department, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Prepare fresh deli products including but not limited to Pre packed items, sandwiches/rolls/wraps and desserts
  • Bake items such as chickens, cookies, and other par-baked goods
  • Set up and maintain displays for ready-made meals, desserts and deli items
  • Manage stock including ordering, rotation, inventory, and ensuring product freshness
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the deli and Food-To-Go areas
  • Assist with product selection, and provide recommendations in regards to platter orders
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Support team members and foster a positive, customer-focused environment
