It is a great opportunity to provide guidance and support on probity issues related to procurement and other ASIC activities, offering well-balanced, pragmatic and commercially sound advice amidst competing interests. You will manage probity reviews of procurement processes, supporting ASIC's Procurement Centre of Excellence by leveraging ASIC probity guidance and artefacts.

The team
The Enterprise Services Group consists of four teams including Finance, Procurement, Property and Contracts, Performance Reporting and Planning and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. The Group provides a range of support, advice and analysis services across ASIC.
The Procurement team provides category support for legal and professional services, oversight of high value/risk procurement, and an advisory and educational service to ensure a cost-effective procurement process.
The role
As a Probity and Governance Officer, you will be accountable for:
- Advising on Probity Matters: Provide guidance on probity issues and manage probity reviews.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage probity risks, promote ethical behaviour, and maintain a risk register.
- Third Party Probity Advisors: Support engagement with third party advisors for high-risk procurements.
- Policy Awareness: Maintain knowledge of ASIC's Procurement Policy and related tools.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and review probity policies and procedures.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and report compliance with probity requirements.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver probity training programs.
- Conflicts of Interest Management: Manage conflicts of interest and maintain a central register.
- Documentation: Ensure probity processes are documented and auditable.
- Liaise and Collaborate: Support the team and develop stakeholder relationships.
- Monitor and Report: Monitor regulatory bodies and ensure best practices in probity management.
About you
To thrive in this role, you need relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications, strong experience in resolving probity issues and a solid understanding of governance, risk and compliance requirements. You need proven experience in developing policies, knowledge of government procurement frameworks and excellent attention to detail are essential. You should be adept at interpreting information, building relationships and engaging with stakeholders. You also need the ability to work independently, have advanced Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication skills are also crucial.
Additionally, you must excel in simplifying complex concepts to influence decision-makers and have a focus on continuous improvement. You need strong business writing and engagement skills, along with the ability to work with minimal supervision and be accountable for outcomes, will help you succeed in this role.
