The Department for Child Protection is seeking multiple Strategic Contracts Officers to lead major reform and development initiatives that strengthen service delivery across South Australia. In this role, you will

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement and contract reform initiatives across DCP.
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy on complex procurement and contracting matters to senior leaders.
  • Develop and improve procurement policies, frameworks, and systems that drive efficiency and value for money.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes and manage sensitive negotiations.
  • Research, analyse and report on complex procurement issues to inform agency decisions and policy improvements.

To be successful

You are an experienced procurement professional who brings a deep understanding of government contracting and the ability to manage complex, high-value initiatives with confidence. You think strategically, communicate with influence, and know how to balance innovation with compliance to achieve results that matter.

You build trust easily with senior stakeholders, using your collaboration and negotiation skills to deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions.
