The role:

We are currently seeking a 2-4 years' PAE Associate to join our team in Canberra, with a role advising the Australian Government on IT and strategic procurement and grants. This an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic commercial technology team, working alongside highly regarded partners.

You will be exposed to a broad variety of commercial law matters including advising on:

  • procurement, grants and contracting
  • software licensing and cloud services
  • cyber security, privacy and data protection
  • organisation governance, including government and corporate

This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders and development as a well-rounded commercial/government lawyer.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Understanding of government financial frameworks
  • Exposure to a range of commercial transactions, preferably some ICT
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand clients' commercial/policy objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to learn and be challenged and stimulated by your work
  • A current baseline Australian Government security clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Experience in IT and strategic procurement and grant processes will be well regarded.

The expectation is that the successful candidate will spend the majority of time on site at our office in Canberra. While not the focus of this role, there may be temporary client secondments where these align with business needs.
