What we're looking for:

Qualified Chef (Full-time)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals according to recipes and quality standards
  • Plan menus, estimate food requirements, and manage inventory
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas
  • Monitor food safety compliance and ensure all regulatory requirements
  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff and promoting a positive team environment
  • Ensure timely delivery of food during service and maintain presentation standards
  • Contribute to new menu ideas and seasonal specials

Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Proven at least 1 year experience working as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Japanese dining restaurant experience with fresh fish handling skills

Salary - $75,000 - $78,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
