About us

Vision Power is a Western Australian owned and operated electrical company involved in all aspects of the Electrical Industry covering a wide range of expertise including Low Voltage (240v), High Voltage (up to 132kv), metering, installations and maintenance.

We are a small, close-knit business and have proudly operated in the Kimberley region for 14 years. This role is community-based, located in remote towns and communities across the region. Local share-house accommodation is provided - camp-style accommodation is not available.

An excellent opportunity exists for aqualified Certificate III in ESI Distribution Overhead Linesperson to join our experienced and successful team based in The Kimberley. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate their experience in the distribution industry, and have a keen attitude and aptitude to get the job done.

This position is salaried, available as a FIFO role (from Perth, Broome or Darwin only) on a 25 days on/10 days off roster.

$178,000.00 pa + LAHA + super

If you prefer a 2 weeks on/1 week off roster, we can adjust the position to suit.

About the Role

Key duties & responsibilities for this position include:

  • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures in accordance with Energy Safety, the Network Operator and internal Company Policy
  • Power distribution installations, service and maintenance for clients across the domestic, industrial, and government sectors.
  • Delivery of quality workmanship within the time frames and budgets allocated.
  • Ability to operate under pressure within a team to resolve faults.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III ESI - Distribution Overhead (no other qualifications are eligible)
  • Current MR drivers license
  • High Risk Work Licence for EWP
  • High Risk Work Licence for dogging
  • HIgh Risk Work Licence for basic rigging
  • A blue/white card
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Willingness to be on-call while on-site
  • Great time management skills
  • Proven ability to interact with customers/stakeholders and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes
  • Physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and in the heat for prolonged periods
  • A strong team focus and personal work ethic
  • A proactive attitude and a high level of initiative
  • High Risk Work Licence for forklift and crane (desirable)
