Purpose
To coordinate the delivery of rural land services and activities to protect and strengthen the region's rural industry including:

  • Management of Council's stock route obligations
  • Oversee Council's weed and pest management activities
  • Explore and apply for appropriate funding opportunities for the Maranoa region and manage grant funded projects in accordance with funding obligations
  • Coordinate and manage rural lands strategic and operational works programs through regular RLO meetings and develop and coordinate agreed work plans across the local area directorates to ensure work programs remain on time and on budget, and to a high standard.
  • Assisting the Manager & Director - Regional Development, Environment & Planning with advocacy efforts relating to funding and improved outcomes for rural land management across the Maranoa and broader region.

Position Details And Benefits

  • Position based in Roma, Qld
  • Fixed-Term, Full-Time Position until December 2026
  • Maranoa Regional Council Certified Agreement Stream A - Level 8
  • Maranoa Locality Allowance - $72.00 per fortnight
