Service a workforce of approximately 180 people, this is a predominantly standalone, hands-on and strategic role - ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner or generalist professional ready to step up and own the full scope of HR across an organisation.

It's an awesome opportunity to partner closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and operational managers to build a values-driven, high-performing, and safe workplace where people thrive.

About the Role

In this brand new role you'll be responsible for:

· Leading the design and delivery of the People & Culture strategy including leading the development of a compelling EVP

· Embedding workforce planning, talent development, and succession frameworks

· Driving employee wellbeing, inclusion and culture initiatives

· Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, Awards (SCHADS), and child-safe standards

· Providing expert HR advice to the CEO and Board (as required)

· Overseeing HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, ER/IR, performance and conduct

· Leveraging HR data and systems to support informed decision-making

We get it. It's a big remit for just one person. You have a very supportive and pragmatic CEO and you'll also manage and mentor one direct report (People & Culture Manager), with the support to shape the future of HR capability as the organisation evolves.

About You

You're a confident and compassionate HR professional who brings:

· Proven experience in a generalist HR or HRBP role, with strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle

· A strategic mindset paired with a willingness to be hands-on

· Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, SCHADS Award and child-safe principles

· The ability to engage and influence senior leaders with credibility and care

· A deep commitment to equity, inclusion and ethical practice

· Experience in the not-for-profit, child/family services or community sector (ideal but not essential)

As a key partner to the CEO on a change journey you are the type of person who is ready to tackle anything that comes your way, and can shift from strategic to tactical in a heartbeat. 

Getting the balance right between the two will require you to build the right relationship with the CEO and Exec team to ensure both can be done effectively.
