The Project Support Officer performs a critical service to help the Project Management Team coordinate, monitor and resource the many concurrent activities that are underway to successfully deliver this solution.

SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) is currently undertaking a major program of work to implement an electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) system to significantly increase the timeliness and quality of clinical data available to SAAS clinicians and to facilitate ongoing improvement in patient care and experience. This exciting transformational program includes the design, build and delivery of the system, including the State-wide deployment of ruggedised tablets and associated infrastructure to enable in-field use of the Patient Care Record (ePCR) solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Team Coordination

Plan and prioritise workloads while providing support to multi-disciplinary team members in delivering project objectives. Promote knowledge sharing amongst team members and maintain a collaborative team approach to work and problem-solving, ensuring high-quality, client-centric service delivery within agreed deadlines.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the Project Manager, staff, and internal and external stakeholders including service providers and vendors. Support communication and engagement activities, ensuring changes are communicated to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.

Project Administration and Documentation Management

Coordinate comprehensive project support and reporting services ensuring compliance with SA Health eHealth Governance Framework and Project Management Methodology Framework. Maintain up-to-date project documentation including daily logs, schedule updates, risk documentation, and stakeholder plans while supporting monthly project status reporting.

Process Development and Continuous Improvement

Develop, implement and monitor processes for collection and reporting of project data and information. Provide advice on project administration functions, identify and assess business needs, and implement continuous improvement processes to enhance Electronic Patient Care Record project performance.

Administrative Support and Communication

Provide responsive point of contact services, coordinate project administration functions including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, minute recording, and travel coordination. Draft briefings, reports and project-related communications while managing records and maintaining program policies and procedures.

Research, Analysis and Training Coordination

Undertake minor research projects and analysis of data, information, processes and systems to identify and manage project-relevant issues. Coordinate delivery of internal team training requirements, performance development processes, and support project finance, procurement and audit activities.
