Purpose of the role

As a Senior Solution Architect within our Technology Team, you will play a critical role in designing end-to-end technical solutions that align with Padua's strategic vision. You'll lead the design of cloud-native architectures that are secure, scalable and resilient, with a strong focus on complex data and process modelling across our financial services platform. Drawing on your expertise in modern API-based integration patterns, service-oriented systems and domain-driven design, you will work closely with product owners, UI/UX designers, tech and business leaders to translate intricate business requirements into elegant, high-performance solutions. Your leadership will ensure that our architecture not only supports innovation and agility but also enforces best practices in data governance, system interoperability and regulatory compliance.

Core responsibilities

• Design and own cloud-native solution architectures aligned to business and technical strategy
• Model complex business processes and data flows with clarity and precision
• Lead architecture design sessions and technical decision-making across multiple SaaS products
• Define service boundaries and design loosely coupled, domain-aligned services
• Lead best-practice API design for front-ends as well as internal and external integrations
• Establish and uphold strong data governance practices across the organization
• Collaborate with engineering teams to guide implementation and ensure architectural alignment in an agile environment
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy and financial services regulations
• Conduct architectural reviews, provide technical mentorship and uplift engineering capability across Padua
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to contribute to novel AI automations and data solutions

Skills, knowledge and abilities

• At least 7-10 years of experience in software engineering, solution design and system integration
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Strong background in complex data modelling, including SQL and NoSQL database design
• Good understanding of domain-driven design (DDD), microservices and service boundary identification
• Demonstrated skill in API design
• Proven expertise in cloud-native architectures using at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP
• Familiar with data governance, security and compliance, especially in regulated environments like financial services
• Familiar with CI/CD, DevSecOps and modern SDLC practices in agile and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at both technical and executive levels
• Proactive mindset while being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
