Apprenticeship Careers Australia are seeking to employ a 1st year apprentice to undertake a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade located in Drouin.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated and committed to Engineering Mechanical trade, who demonstrate drive and passion for the industry.
Through this role you will work with a range of different products in different industries to become a qualified fitter and turner.
About the role
As a 1st year apprentice you will be expected to:
- Troubleshoot and Repair products.
- Operate Lathes and Mills
- Work safely and effectively in manufacturing and engineering.
- Safely operate power tools and hand tools.
- Dismantle, replace and assemble engineering components.
- Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices.
Requirements
The successful applicants will demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of relevant workplace health and safety requirements, have long term career goals and commitment to completing the apprenticeship.
- Sound communication and numeracy skills
- Great attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- A team player who cooperates with others
- Reliability
- Trade School will be Chisholm in Dandenong.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants may require a security and pre-employment medical assessment.
