Role Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of specific projects in alignment with standards, budget, and program. The Project Manager will ensure objectives are defined, understood, and executed at a high standard within defined timeframes and budgets, while championing the health, safety, and wellbeing of all stakeholders.

The role requires travel to project sites in different states.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project scope, schedule, budget, and resources, ensuring adherence to technical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration and communication among clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Drive the timely completion of project milestones within budgets and schedules, while maintaining a commitment to quality, health, safety, environmental sustainability, and legislative compliance.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to the project team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Compile project progress reports, risk assessments, and actionable insights for informed decision-making, and proactively identify and resolve challenges, conflicts, or disputes.
  • Review and implement HSE quality requirements, and work closely with the Design Engineers to ensure an agile project lifecycle.
  • Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers, assist with customer negotiations, and coordinate with design disciplines and stakeholders for project delivery.
  • Keep the leadership team informed about project status, address client-related issues, and ensure timely project completion, including negotiating extensions if required.

Experience Required

  • Qualification in electrical trade/project management/engineering or similar discipline highly desirable
  • At least five years of experience in construction/renewable energy/project management/engineering or similar
  • Ability to understand all facets of a project's life cycle, including holding an in-depth technical understanding
  • Working knowledge and practical application relevant (latest editions) Statutory Requirements, State Legislation, Australian Standards and Site Requirements
  • Complex understanding of the industry
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Experience managing staff members and contractors
  • Experience successfully managing budgets and maintaining cost control
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Project
  • Willing to work on a wide range of tasks involving on and off-site work and often irregular hours
  • Experience in electrical estimating
  • Experience in Microsoft Project highly regarded
