
Inventory Controller

A fantastic opportunity is now available to join an Australian owned business as Inventory Controller . This Chemical and Toll Manufacturing business is looking for a top performing energetic and capable of sourcing a range of products and building relationships with our suppliers. This role reports to the General Manager is a full-time role.
The Role:-
Must have strong attention to detail, plus a methodical and thorough approach to ensure systems are followed and all documentation is completed accurately and minimum 3 years experience.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:-
Key Functions/Responsibilities
Operational
- Review total material demands and create material schedules;
- Strategic sourcing;
- Reconcile purchase orders against proposed supplier charges;
- Manage vendor working relationships and ensure supplier delivery performance is monitored and managed;
- Inventory management;
- Management of suppliers, stock and purchases;
- Facilitation of efficient day to day running of warehouse;
- Ensure material is available for all scheduled jobs;
- Assist with implementation of improved procedures and processes; and
- Maintaining product forecasts in conjunction with Sales input.
Competency / Position Requirements:-
- Similar experience in a Purchasing, Planning or Supply Chain role in manufacturing;
- Experience with a diverse and fast paced working environment;
- Qualifications in Supply Chain / Logistics;
- High attention to detail and decision making;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain excellent internal and external working relationships;
- Ability to work autonomously and display initiative;
- Well-developed computer and software skills, in particular Excel and Jiwa;
- Strong time management, analytical and problem solving and
- Well developed MRP / advanced planning skills and demand material scheduling experience.
