About the Role

Operational Pharmacist – Dispensary Service, Grade 2 Full-Time Position located in East Melbourne

We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our pharmacy team as an Operational Pharmacist.

This position reports to the Dispensary Manager and is responsible for the provision of outpatient dispensary services at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.  Key responsibilities include dispensing of specialised medicines, provision of medicines information, assisting in supervision of aseptic and simple manufacturing, and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmacy dispensary. This position will also contribute to quality improvements in the dispensary area.

About you 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia as a practising pharmacist with no restrictions 
  • Experience working as a pharmacist in an Australian hospital pharmacy setting
  • Prior experience using Merlin dispensing software is highly desirable but not essential
  • Highly developed communication skills to work with key stakeholders
  • Commitment to quality use of medicines and contributing to great teamwork
