About Us

Daryl Dickenson Transport (DDT) is a nationally recognised, family-owned logistics provider based in Carole Park, Queensland. Established in 1988, we specialise in transporting steel products and have grown from a small partnership to a medium-sized business with over 55 dedicated employees. Our modern fleet of more than 30 trucks, including prime movers and B-double combinations, allows us to deliver both local and linehaul transport services, container unpacking, and warehousing solutions.

We have multiple positions available for local HR drivers to join our team.

The Role

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Delivering steel products throughout the SEQ area, Toowoomba, Tweed & Sunshine Coast.
  • Multi drops each day
  • Performing daily vehicle prestart checks
  • Securing, inspecting and restraining loads for transport
  • Maintaining compliance with all NHVAS policies and procedures
  • Understand load limits and apply correct load restraint
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
  • Upholding customer service values of the company.
  • Attend mandatory training days (twice per year)

To be successful:

  • Hold a current HR drivers Licence (road ranger preferred but not essential)
  • A clean driving record – a current Traffic History Report to be provided
  • Complete and pass a pre-employment medical including random drug & Alcohol testing
  • Experience with transporting steel (preferred)
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Must be reliable, punctual and a good team player.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organised, disciplined and a strong attention to detail. Physically fit.
  • Understanding and able to complete basic paperwork
